Making a ‘static’ webite responsive

Updating the South Staffordshire Paper Products website

Based in Tamworth South Staffordshire Paper Products are specialists in a number of paper conversion processes, providing paper for packaging, protection and presentation.

We originally created both the main website for South Staffordshire Paper Products and also a smaller ‘satellite’ website which dealt with a specialised area of their business around five years ago.

It was decided to bring these two websites together as one and also to update the code, design and layout of the main website to bring it in line with moder practices. The new site needed to would work better on smart phones and tablets as the original website was developed in a time before this was a requirement.

When we designed the first SS Paper website responsive design did not exist and people were not regularly accessing the internet to browse websites on mobile devices. Now it is become industry standard when it comes to developing websites to consider this in both the design and the development.

The new South Staffordshire Paper Products website is now live, and all the pages of this new website are flexible, or responsive, so they will resize and display correctly whether viewed on mobile devices, tablets or on desktop screens.

It has become more and more important to make sure that your website can be viewed and navigated successfully and easily on smart phones as their usage for browsing websites has and continues to rapidly grow.

We are always happy to quote on converting a website so that it will work responsively. If you are happy with the look and layout of your current site then we can recreate that same design and layout. Alternatively this might be an ideal time to look at a redesign or at addressing any failings or limitations you’ve found with your current website.
